i was looking through the classifieds on samba and saw stroker cranks made out of 4130, 4140, and 4340 and was just wandering if some of those were a "misprint" or not? |

those are all types of chromoly. Whether or not they actually make cranks out of each kind i can't answer that... |

The "41" denotes 1 percent chromium and 0.2 percent molybdenum. The "30" denotes a carbon content of 0.30 percent. The "43" has 1.65% to 2.0% nickel .5-.08% chromium. 4340 is the strongest due the addition of nickel. |
