It may be a stupid question,but how do I get the stock fuel pump block out of my block with out splitting the case. I tried to get it out when I cracked it , but it broke an inch from bottom. I have an original 63 bug I'd like to keep it looking original under the deck lid. I could let it stay in and run an electric but that's not 63. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

My bottem part is stuke in the block for good so I put the broken top part back on the studes & stock fuel pump & rod . Been that why for 10 years .

If it's a stock 63, your running 6 volts. Good luck with electric fuel pump.
