Did you have the block checked? linebore? thrust? 110 cam is designed for stock rocker but there are people running 1.25 and 1.4 but you gota watch what your doing. I hope someone else would chime in here Larry (hint hint) but make sure the block is good!!! |

Remove passenger seat and put a DANGEROUS HIGH HP 4 cyl. Jap motor and trans.Nothing left to buy but a Linc. Cont. IRS diff. The trans shifter and cable just swing around and bolt to the floor.Start with a whole running wrecked doner car.The motor is already balanced from the factory.Don't run around the country trying miss and match parts. The Jap engineers and technicians have already perfected theirs. The radiator will keep the temp at a constant 195 degrees.Has a built in oil cooler, huge clutch,............. |

The 1.25 move the valve fast + more lift . Lift well go from .430 to .490 . So you need to have the heads cut to run dual valve springs & chromoly retainers & locks . Go to one of the sponsors for machine work & parts |

Spose you do get your motor just rite , it ain't gonna last and what ?It's bolted to a 30+ year old trans?I've been around VW's for 40 years . It's time to re-invent.Help me re-invent.Ned the 1st grader can bolt together a VW.Challenge yourself with something cheap new fun plentiful and out rite dangerous.Get in your wife's car and open it up then come to a stop. Then sit there and think,"If I could have all this power multiplied by a 327:1 diff with all this dependability! "I'll probably will not win Choccolocco, but that $450 motor will be rite in the mix.Stand there and tell me what you get for $450. |

Dew with pimples all over his face arms big as a quarter, hat pulled down like a wigger, it's all over. |

Here again. Woodsbuggy is going to die out if the next young generation has to spend $10K while having babies, to get in the winners circle.I cannot talk to my generation because they feel threatened so I am talking to the wise next generation.Run around the junk yard and lift the hoods on 150 cars and see if you don't get the fever. My 2800 is a punk motor. Call 205-369-7406 and let's talk it out. |

Thats a good combo for any size motor, especially if you can do a little port work to the heads. Give Shadetree a call,he has a heck of a deal for first time customers. It might take a little longer before you can build your motor but most of your power comes from the heads, time well spent. |

The 044 head is a stronger casting with more room for porting . If the engine has 94 bores I would get 42mm valves . With the 044 head you mit look at a fk 42 cam 275 dur. 245 at .050 & .522 lit with 1.4 rockes This cam is small in dur. then a 110 but has more lift . makes go TQ . call some of the sponsers Drews shadetree southern buggy daves all good peple. 1-888-go-drews talk to Brian about porting & cam for your eng. |
