Hey anybody got suggestions on what springs to run in my new pertronics distributor,in came with light, med, heavy springs.Anybody running this distributor got any feedback about timing curve and total advanced timing to run.Motor-2387cc,9:5:1 5.7 rods, street eliminators, duall 40 webers, engle fk-42 cam 1:4:1 rockers, msd 6-t box.I got some ideas, but trying to shorten the process of trial and error, and of course its in a woodsbuggy for hillclimbing

The total advance is already built in to the distributor. The springs just control how fast the advance comes in. Set the total advance between 30-32. Woods buggies like the advance to come in quickly but it also depends on how heavy your car is and about 100 other things. I would try the light springs first.

I am running a MSD 6AL off-road box and Billet Dist., and the timing is set at 13 degrees idle at 1100 rpm, then fully advanced 33 degrees at 3000 rpm, it is set-up with light silver springs, and a blue bushing.
