i have a brand new set of duel mx weber 44 and i need to adjust the floats. the problem im having is, when i go down those real long steep rocky hills, the motor seems to load up and cut out. i have to keep hitting the throttle to clear it, so what i need to know is how to adjust the floats and what i should adjust it to. is there any good websites out there that tells the procedure? i looked but couldnt find any.

I always set mine by flipping carb top over with float assembly on it and setting the float parallel with the carb top.

the "recomended" settings are 10mm closed ( flipped upside down and float at rest ) and 32mm open ( rightside up and float hanging ) if i remember correctly and that is measuring from the top edge of the float to the bottom edge of the carb plate without the gasket installed but i usually set mine with the gasket installed and its pretty close to parallel at the closed position like what larry said

I set mine 13mm when holding the top upside down and never missed a beat since it may sound like its too low but never ran out of gas on WOT climbing hills and never loaded up on rough terrain also remember to set your fuel pressure no more or less than 3 psi.

what size idle jets are in it?it sounds crazy but ur idle jets are probaly to little,i had same problem when i was jetting carbs,i had 47 idles in it and it did that same thing,then i put 50s in it and it cured it

the idle jets are 60 that is what was in there when i got them the motor is a 2276

throw them webers away and put a holley on it !!! lol

if u got anymore or can get some put 55 in it and try it,u never know
