i was cleaning up some used intakes i have and was matching them up afterward when i noticed some had "A" and some had "B" stamped on the side while others had no markings at all :? :?:

I suspect the A and B desinate the Offset from the left and right manifold. Easy way for the plant packers to get one of each in the box.

so will they not work on either side, they look the same laying side by side :?

I think there were two sets offered. One with an offset to compensate for the 1/3 - 2/4 cylinder banks not being in line and the other set with no offset.

so does this mean a = offset and b = straight or vice versa

or maybe its a = driver side and b = passenger side or vice versa

Do they look ported ? If so the heads they were on were also marked a/b to keep them in the correct location.

most definantly been ported and a souple of sets even been welded on but i dont have the heads :roll:
