I have not done it myself but i think some people use an old army surplus ammo box i know a lot of people use them for the wiring harness and such when they go watercooled so i would say it's pretty water tight but like i said i dont have this setup myself good luck

Ammo box, the best and cheapest way to secure and weatherproof your ignition system.

ignition boxes generate alot of heat and heat is a big killer with them... if you are worried about the water you can have msd pot it with epoxy for 35 xtra bucks.....

Get the black offroad version and you get waterproof plus potted internals encapsulated in epoxy that withstand vibration. It is also best to not ever mount the boxes completely upside down as it causes heat soak to the circuitry rather than it escaping through the ribbed case of the box itself. Won't last long and you will be upset about it in the end

I started out with the off-road version on my first buggy and it was inside an ammo box too, I dunno why I put it in the ammo box, but it lasted me for 2-1/2 years and it never quit on me. I now have the Digital 6AL now on my single seater.
