Typically the adapters have studs to mount the wheel and tapered holes to mount them with lug nuts to the hub. What do you have?

oddy he is talking about the adapters like instigator makes, they are a 1/2 in. thick aluminum flat plate cut out with the wide 5 dirtcar wheel pattern on the outside and vw 4 lug pattern on the inside

ive got a set also ( great product by the way ) but havent had the money to get the wheels i want yet, but i am just gonna use a grade 8 bolt ( 5/8 x 2 course thread ) and the aluminum lug nuts off of a late model dirt car to mount the wheel to the adapter

but as far as mounting the adapter to wheel im undecided as to use a flat washer and nut or buy some of those coned out washers they sell for use with the sand type aluminum wheels and a regular lug nut ( providing my current studs are long enough, if not i will have to find some longer studs )

hope this helps

I use studs and have a little clearance issue but I saw some on Racefreaks that were threaded in with no head on the back,,,,,probably better.

i drilled and tapped the wide 5 part for 5/8 coarse and used loctite on the bolts. i then use late model lug nuts... for the hub side, i bought long studs from sway a way and had to get a half inch spacer off instigator then took a drill bit and shaped it to the taper of a lug nut and chamfered the holes of the adapter with it and run standard 14mm lug nuts on it.....
