Looking into new rims for the front, I'm goint to be running some 7.0-15 tire. Should I go with 5" or 6" wide wheels?

If ya want a wider, little bit shorter tire, I'd say the 6". If you're lookin for ground clearance, i'd say the 5", but it'll make your tire much skinnier. It's pretty much all in what you're lookin' for.

I am running that size tire and went with 5". You can see pics on the build page. I think 6" would have been too wide for that tire. Just my opinion.

I had mine on 5.5 Douglas wheels and I liked the wider foot print. I have them on 4" centerlines and they are ok however the wheel offset is not to my liking. Tpo much scrub radius. Your better off with a 5 or 5.5 with a 3.5" backset to keep the tire centerd over the spindel pivot to minimize scrub.

I have mine on vw stock 4 hole rims and mounted the rim backwards. I can turn both ways without tires rubbing on frame.
