Rome Ohio is a little bit out of the area, thanks anyways. Thanks KOKO on the depth. I guess I'll take a knife and cut down to find the depth, then set the router and have at it. I'll make a jig platform to set up against the ribs to cut close to them and not go down too far.
Be careful doing that with a router. the rubber depth can be very inconsistent, and you'll buzz right thru the cords at a high spot and never know it. It takes a good touch and ear to know when you are hitting cords with a big cutter so you know when to lift a little. You'll never know over the noise of a router, until you feel the air rushing out of the gaping hole.
Thats a sick feeling, let me tell ya.
Guess you could set it pretty shallow and then finish up with a less aggresive technique.
