press in or through bolts! i ripped off both wheels at once with those. and i have a stock motor. unless you lug around and NEVER get on it. then you can use them. press in's!

I would use press in studs. I've seen one to many wheels come of from them. |

Well I can't find press grade 8 14mmx1.5 thru bolts, damnit! So I guess I will have to drill it out to, ummm , who knows what size for press-ins? |

i have used grade 8 bolts with threads all the ways to the heads and screwed them in from behind. you can get those from fastenall |

i'm still running lug bolts i just bought some a little longer and they work fine.yes they are harder to put the wheel on,and yes i do curse sometimes,but it gives you more time to drink a beer when your working on it and we all know that is very important.when you can make more time for beer i say do it.lol.chad

Wife said she wasnt going with me this weekend chad. So I panicked, who was going to hold my whiskey!!! So I rushed out and got a cup holder, ziptied it to the frame. THEN, she decides shes coming, lol. Did I just hijack my own thread? I found 1/2" press ins that fit in the 9/16ths hole I spent $20 on a bit to make. The darn 14mm press ins wernt long enough. Just needed to replace one for now, bandaid fix till I find a heavier one I like. |

Then cut a slot in the stud/bolt for a screwdriver also locktite them in.. |

I have these again there 14mm x1.5x50mm just screw them in from the back side of hub with red lock tight and your good to go! 1.95ea |

Fastenal should get just about anything you need when it comes to bolts. The way that I understand grade 8 metric bolts, they are labeled as "8.8" on top of the bolts. I put my rotors on a milling machine and programmed in the bolt circle and made the holes a little bigger to use 5/8" press-in, fine-threaded chromoly studs I got from my local race car shop and they are awesome, I even use the same thing on my adapters as well but coarse threads on them, it takes a 1" socket to fit the lug nuts and they are chromoly too. I personally don't like using bolts because they will come loose over the time of riding before you know and it is a pain in the a$$ when you need to tightened them up in the woods, I used to have them on my old Packrat and hates the idea and wishes I never done them that way, do the right thing and use press-ins, they will never come loose unless torqued properly. |

try late model dodge truck,whould have saved myself serious money after ordering new ones extra long.then bought some 1/2 20 race studs and oversize nuts for adapters ,half the cost of metric and easy to replace.richard |
