 Post subject: tire cutting?

i've seen what they look like when there done,never saw it done, or for that matter what you use to do it,was hoping someone could post some pics of the tool you use! but heres my thought! crazy as it might seem i think it would work, i do heating and air for a living now, but 15 years or so ago i used to work for totes(rubber shoe company) and i used to have to clean all the machines, all the excces rubber that is, and i used what they called a hot knife and it ripped right threw that shit! so heres my thought! you take a hot suface ignitor from a furnace(which basically was all that the hot knife was)and wire it to an extension cord so that it stays on constantly and it should cut tires great i would think!?i'm sure theres a fine art or proper way to do it,but i think it would work. i got some old tires i'm gonna try this method on and see how it goes and i'll let you know,maybe even get some before and after pics!
