Post subject:  Tire Balancing?
I know most of you guys don't worry about tire balancing. And a pile of mud on the inside of the rim will throw the balance off also :lol: .

Anyway, have any of you who drive on the street tried balancing beads or Airsoft beads?

I drive mine on the road and at around 70 the front tires start to bounce.
The tires are not balance now and need to be.
I have call around my area and have not found anybody the can balance the 205 wide 5 pattern.
They say ya we can balance all tire/wheels and when I get there they say oh we can't balance that setup.

I'm going to 205 wide 5's in the rear also and i think it will be even worse so look for some thing to work.

Any suggestion?

If you have any old school shops around they may have an old school balancer. If they have all the pieces should be able to do it. That's how they did it when wide 5's where new lol. I have found bike shops usually have them. Or you can find them on CL cheap some times.

I would call a local off road shop. They will usually know the shops that can or will balance oversized tires.

There's a piece on The Samba to use that bolts to wide 5 rim to spin balance them. It's not bad high, if you would need it often. about $50 or so. tried to find it but can't. thought I had it saved.

If no moisture will get in the the powder bags are the best imho . air soft pellets work very good also , their is a conversion chart out their for how mus=ch to use on what size tire . i used pellets on a set of iroks on hummer bead locks and works great !
bias ply tires i would never waste my time with wheel weights cause the tire takes a different form when it heats up .

I don't think or hope that I would be balancing very often so I will pass on the e-bay stuff.
I think I will try the Air-soft way. It won't cost very much.
I will let you guys know what I think for what ever that worth.
(Probably just what you paid for it, zero. :lol: )

I run air soft in mine and several customers vehicles that run 35's. No problems what so ever.
