Finally picked up some aluminum late model wheels and now I'm debating tires. All Firestone AG distributors in Ohio are giving me the same old "national backorder" story and that has caused me to consider other makes. I've always heard the Firestones were better to run that the Goodyears due to the 23 degree bar design, but I ride with guys running Goodyears and they seem to do just fine climbing. This makes me wonder how much the 22 degree difference between Firestone and Goodyears really matters. Then of course a lot of guys run Interco boggers as well which seem to do good. Interco produces their own version of a "v bar" tire but the ones I've looked at are 10 ply which blows. Just looking for everybodys input on climbing capabilty versus price. Also- does anybody know of distributors that actually have Firestones in stock?

I have not got to run my firestone 23's yet,but I have ran everything else in the v tread.I have seen 23's pull some stuff my cut 45's would not.two buggy pretty much same build and me with a lot more experience and the other buggy went a lot better in several different types of situation better than mine.so I went straight out and got two sets.I will no for sure,if I ever get to run them,or ride for that matter.Chad

Out of interest, how much do you guys pay for 23 degree Firestones? I got a price here for some 31 x 12.5 R15 23 degree Firestones (not even the 15.5) and the price was the equivalent of $320 each..
