I've got a nice little 650 special that is done up like an old harley sportster bobber. Over $2500 was invested in parts and material above what the bike cost. Basically anything that is a known problem with these bikes has been corrected by upgrading to the best part available. I rode it several hundred miles this summer and it never even had the first hiccup. It is a fairly low bike and would be perfect for a lady wanting to upgrade from a Honda Rebel. I rode it and I'm pretty good size so it would be an excellent for a man wanting to learn to ride or someone looking for an old school bobber. Here is a partial list of things that were done to it. (just off the top of my head) Harley sportster seat drag bars 2into1 header new fork springs bronze swingarm bushings "limp dick" taillight custom paint new rear coilover shocks ![]() ![]() Asking $2000 Email is: khaney01@alltel.net |

I just noticed that I hadn't mentioned the tires. They are Dunlops that were put on early this summer and they only have 3-400 miles on them. You can still feel the bumps where the casting nipples were. |
