Got the idea the other day to sleeve my outer bar instead of using a knife edge or hatchet on my buggy. Only cost me about $15 bucks

It should be just as strong as the rest of the frame, it is regular heavy wall 1 3/4 braced with 1 inch. Welded all the way around I notched it with a mill to fit the other bar that was already on the buggy. Should keep me from knocking my wheels off now at least

Took about 10 minutes to mill the tubing, probaby 1.5 hours maybe 2 for the fit up and welding

Nice job, Looks good!
Running a piece of 1/2" angle down the length of the tree bar will stiffen them up a ton, and gives less contact area to rub a tree when you drag around it.

the angle iron is the best thing you can do for your tree bars

Adding the angle doesn't cause the bars to dig in more having the sharper edge? I can see where the strength comes from stiffening the bar
