If you are using 4 point seat belts, make sure everything is reachable while you are strapped in the seat. I kept mine very simple. A couple switches, a horn and an ignition switch. Rather than using fuses, I put marine breakers on the side of my dash.

i just started my new dash board, im about halfway done. the main purpose with this dash board is easy access, i have a hindge on the back so i can flip the lid open so i'll be able to get to everything real easy. I used to have a dashboard on the floor like a consult, it looked cool, but i always got alot of water and mud in there, my gages always got alot of mud on them, i couldnt see them, and when i did have an electrical problem, it was hard to get to, there was so much wires and stuff crambed in that little box, it was hard to figure out what went where, thats why the winter project for me was redoing the electrical and making up this dash board, i used some poster board and cut and bent it just like i would sheet metal, to make what i want, and i drew the gages and switches on there, to make sure everything fit before i bent one out of sheet metal. when im done with it, im gonna wrap it with carbon fiber vinal to make it look cool. Mines pretty simple, you can buy the dash plate for about twenty bucks or so then you have to make a box for the wiring (pic sucks). Iv always preferred my electronics up high.

Well I want 8 switches total counting ign and start and all my lights, I like my lights Soooo that switch panel is like $240, but I do like it.

Know where one is????? I know it sounds like alot, but I don't ride at D&K so we use lights, and ya I know they must add weight to my tankish buggy  1 Ign 2 Start Button 3 Acc 4 Headlights - Street 5 Offroad lights 6 LED Floodlight - I love this light 7 reverse light - I like it switched for when you just roll off a hill 8 turn signal - on/off/on |

I've rode more hours at night than you have day plus night. And I only got one headlight. I never said yours was a tank, you did. I made my switch box out of waxpaper, then drilled holes in it. Aluminum is too heavy. I was gonna say something about that reverse lite for backin off a hill, but I wont.

It's street leagle, and fun to drive on the road, but I dont do it often. I'm ussually to lazy to change the tires or busy modifying something

nitro_mudder wrote: Sooooo where do I find the switches bill? i didnt use the sealed switches, i used the rubber toggle covers and they have worked fine. i bought my switch panel from summit racing, its made by painless wiring. i like the red indcator lights over the switches. most auto parts have toggle switches and covers or just google it. |

Ebay has an assortment of marine toggles. Several months I bought 2 Marine control consules that had 6 20 amp toggles with the switchs boost and inline fuse holders already wired to the switchs. They were 20 bucks a piece. A single switch will cost you 10 to 15 bucks with thew rubber cover. Try and fine the panels and remove the switchs. Also the less switchs, relays, gauges, devices and wiring you have the less problems you will have. Food for thought. Yea I know this is coming from Mr. Captain Overkill!
