Where is a cheap supplier of 1 1/2" DOM & mild steel tubing? I cant seem to find anyplace local other than LA products which costs a fortune. Im in Youngstown & Ill drive to Cleveland or Pittsburgh if I can find a good deal.
I found a place called Traval in Jeanette, PA on Craigslist that carries it but havent given them a call yet since I dont know how much I need.

I called them & it's .85 cents a foot for the 1 1/2" .095 wall & 1" runs .50 cents a foot for .065 wall. Im going in 2 weeks to pick up about 500 feet. I paid $2.25 a foot for 1 1/2" welded about 6 years ago. I can't find anyplace that sells to the public. This place is a bargain....

My local sources want $2.75 to $3.00 a foot. I was going to get 300 ft. but Im thinking I may get 500. I plan to build a single seater at some point so Id like to have the tubing. Im also getting a couple hundred feet of 1" as well as the steel for my new T trailer I need to build to replace the one the EX gave away.

not trying to steal the thread or nothing but i am thinking about having a buddy of mine build me a single seater and was wondering what wall tubing is everybody using for main frame rails and roof and what for bracing also i know most use 1 1/2" for main stuff but is 1" what everbody uses for all the bracing or a mixture of sizes in the bracing .120" wall 1 1/2" and .095" wall 1" for bracing is what im thinking and useing all d.o.m. instead of hrew tubing but i could be wrong so that is why im asking.....

i know weight is a big concern but i dont a buggy that is gonna warp, wad up, break and have to rebuild or reweld everytime it takes a tumble or flip off a hill

Most buggys are made out of .095 wall 1-1/2" electroweld tubing (the cheap stuff). Most bracing can be 1" .083 wall or so.

I ordered a 20' stick of .120" in Huntsville today at $1.50 a ft. going to pick it up Monday. The shop down the road has .083" didn't ask the price on it.
