I'm trying to layout wheel adaptors, but can't remember the math for an isocolese triangle. Wide 5 VW, from center to stud is 102.5mm, 72 deg. angle and 54 deg angle across to next stud. But what's the formula for figuring the distance between studs? Or you could just tell me the distance, but I would like to know formula. Adapting from Chevy 5 on 4.75", have to lay that out too. Thanks, Dave W.

By definition, in an isoceles triangle, the length of two sides are identical and their opposing angles are identical. The angle opposing the base will be 180 minus the sum of the two equal angles.

That's correct. I'll look up the cord length for ya.

To find the cord length on a given diameter for 4 equal spaces multliply the diameter by .70711
To find the cord length on a given diameter for 5 equal spaces multliply the diameter by .58779
So the VW wide 5 is 8.071" X .58779 = 4.744"
The race wide 5 is 10.250" X .58779 = 6.0248"

Ya, gotta love the DRO's. I have a new 3 axis planned for my new (used) mill, all the bells and whistles.
