Hey guys I have a decent flatbed trailer, but I'm making it longer. I need some ideas on cheep axles/tire setup to go tandem. Any ideas? I want to buy a 20ish' inclosed within the next year so I dont want to spend a ton. Thanx!

A lot of front wheel drive cars from the early 80's had a heavy rear axle in them with a common bolt pattern wheel. I've used Chevy Citations, buick skylark, and some others with pretty good success. Wheel bearings are cheap and plentiful to fit them.

Well Its 6'6" wide and I'd like to keep the wheels to the outside if I can.

You can splice em in the middle and turn them upside down if you need more ground clearance.

Trailer lots have them but they are EXPENSIVE!!! Find a trailer that has burnt down and offer to buy the axles.
