I buy steel often and in large amounts and I always find the best price at American Metal Supply in cincinnati. 1800-396-6600. Last time I bought erw, i got it for around .73 per foot. That could be worth the drive or delivery.

For a bunch of years I was buying tubing for work and side projects from Victory Tubing in Cleveland, good prices and great service, Several years ago Marmon Keystone bought Victory out and that's when I was forced to find another supplier.
Once MK took over, their prices went up dramatically, they wanted to sell bundles and no longer wanted to sell a few 20' sticks at a time. After the buy out, all of the tubing and shipping I had quoted had danged neared doubled in price and it was like "you'll get the overpriced tubing whenever we decide to get it there".
Luckily for me an ex Victory salesman came knocking on my door, introducing the new company he was working for, Legend Tubing. I'm back to good prices and great service.

I also buy my Tubing from Legend in Cleveland. They are still willing to sell a few sticks at a time. I will say their prices have gone up about 30% in the last few years.

If you haven't already bought your tubing beware of cheap tubing I have came across some that is not consistent and has thick and thin spots through out the pipe. Check the ends of the pipe and make sure it is the same thickness all the way around the pipe. If it looks inconsistent stay away from it.
