Post subject:  thinking about making torsion eliminators

I tried searching torsion eliminators on here getting ideas on how to make them possibly to save some money just seeing how some of you guys made yours if anyone has. We are going to bag my brothers buggy the inner splines on the torsion housing stripped out and this is what we plan on doing. Just curious what material you guys used and what's the best way to go about it. I have some 1/4 thick plate I was going to use to bolt where the torsion plate goes and was thinking about using shock bosses to bolt the him joint to. I wasn't sure if 1/4 inch would be thick enough and what size him joints do you guys recommend and also what thickness of plate to use to bolt the trailing arm to the eliminator any pics or suggestions would be appreciated to point me in the right direction

Just put it back together without torsion bars. I ran mine with coilovers for couple years like that with no problems.
