Does anyone on the board fabricate front trailing arms they are big $$ out west. I have a set of 2 1/2 by 1 that I built.

If you have a light car and do not drive your buggy hard then the Tweeds are ok. If you have a heavy car and drive it hard then I highly recommend you buy Foddrill or Woods. I have had both Tweeds and Woods arms and there is no comparision. I have also had Tweeds and Foddrill Combo Spindles and there is no comparison. This is definatly a place where you get what you pay for! Buy the best and cry once, buy the cheap and cry forever,

I will most likely go with the woods arms or fabricate my own. The spindles I plan to run are Fodril. Many can't believe that I have been running stock front spindles with beef up kit for almost 20 years. The secret is to weld a cold rolled dowel through the hollow spindles.

I have a Sacco HD rack and I want to go Power steering. I was hoping to go ram assist or go with the Howe beam mount. What are your thoughts?

yeah i been wanting to do that myself, i once run across the specs of each step/size for turning down a solid rod to drive in the hollow spindle or maybe it was somewhere to buy them already done, its been a few year ago and i have looked recently but cant seem to find it anymore

Chris, that is very similar to my modification. I used a detail from a book published in the mid 1970's Building buggies and Baha's. It is amazing how relevant much of the old school stuff works. When you have less than a beer budget you find was to make parts last.

Are you going to the hill climb at Wind Rock next weekend? I think I have seen your car in some of the videos
