Maybe a couple gussets where the spring plate bolts is welded. What thickness is the tubing?

If your going with that style i would weld a strap around or partially around the pivot bolt tubing, looks like i saw a few places around your bearing pocket that could have been plated to creat a gusset. If you want to make the 2X3 stoughter try getting you some angle welded on the front or back in the same manner we do our tree bars. Just keep in mind the clearance you will need for CVs.

I would say those won't take much abuse around the bearing housing, needs to have more bracing IMO.and maybe also around the spring plate bracket.just think they could use a little more beef.Chad
