I just got a double bar bumper and I also have a winch I was wanting to put on my buggy. I was thinking about putting the roller in the bars and adding a plat coming back off the bottom bar but this just don't look safe I think I will pull my bumper off with just the 4 3/8 bolts on the top.

So anyone have a this bumper with a winch that I can see a pic of how you done it.

Any input would be nice I'm going to try to get this stuff on this weekend

You can do that however I would attach the back of the plate to the frame to give it more support. I personally recommend welding 2" Reese hitch style receivers on the front and back so you have full use of the Winch. I do not use mine in the rear as much as the front however I sure appreciate when I need it in the rear. Man that sure did not come out right did it!

From what Bill tells me Ody is right, he really does appriciate it in the rear when he needs it!

But he is right, you get nosed down in a small revine or something and you will want it in the rear too

Such talk from you to. Must be butt buddies, in the rear this, in the rear that. You drop it, you gonna pick it up. If you do need a winch make sure you can take it in the rear  err...... works in the rear.

this might might make any sense or difference but i run in to a guy at lbl that had his winch mounted above the torsion housing and shifter rod and had the cable run to the front of the buggy with rollers on the front he said it was to save weight on the front of the buggy

Very good point. If you make it a hitch mountable setup you could store it on a third mount in the center to keep weight bias nuetral, and still move it to front or back as needed. Just a thought I had about mounting my own.
