 Post subject: Ball & Socket

Where can i find a ball and socket setup like the one weddle uses in their linkage.
I've looked online and cant seem to find exactly what im looking for.

i used the ball out of one of these and used a 1/2 inch socket for the socket just had to hone it out a bit.

Just a thought on the Impact style setup. You will need to drive the anti spin pin out so you have full articulation. Not sure if there is one or actually how they keep it fronm spinning however food for thought. I have not seen these to accertain.

i used a ball from a tierod end and a piece of 1 1/4 tube wit a brass bushing

? i thought about this and you know what you dont need a "ball an socket" joint just a heim joint. weld the spud round rod to the transmision piece make it unersized so it slips in the ball of you heim joint the put the heim joint on the arm horizontal coming in from the back that way youve done the same thing! Keep the center of the ball about the same place as it would be with the ball an sockt joint and its done. 8)
