I have to widen the frame for accept the dual carbs, My idea is to basically just bubble the frame in a 1 foot section But im not sure if i should try to find 90 degree corner pieces to make it, or just bend one piece like a half moon Any input would be appreciated. Thanks |

Don't they make different intakes for tight spots that don't take as much room |

I had to bubble my frame out on the back around the carbs and it worked great, even looks good. I think you can see it on my build thread. Its on page 4 of the well here goes thread under buggy builds, check it out. |

Yea, mickey I meant bubble the frame out- In a foot secton of it lol. Anyone have a measurement of how wide it is from carb to carb? it would be cool to get this done before the carbs get here soi can juss bolt"m on and get to adjusting. |

I would wait untill you have Carbs in hand before making mods to the frame. |

if i got you right, you want to bend a peice of tubing like how you would see a peice of conduit passing over another conduit? thats a difficult bend with 1.5" tubing in a 12" legnth! Ya might be better off tryin to miter it (cut 2 45*s) |

Hows about a big radius 180 deg bend on each side to make the proper width? I have a 6.5" CLR die for my JD2 bender. |

Im not really sure what would be best, The ideal thing to do would be take the buggy to someones house that has a bender and figure it out that way. I did the measuring i need approx. 4 inches on each side. |

But davehix brought up a goodidea to me, The piece hillaholic made as reverse treebars would pry work just fine, weld them on then cut out the section of existin frame. |

Same here, I dont want it to look chopped up, Want it to have a nice flow to it like its always been that way Ima try a couple different things today, My one friend has a bender But only has a 1 3/4" die or whatever So we're gonna try a piece of that and see how it looks. |

If your frend has a spare piece of the 1 3/4 tube, bend it, then cut it in half lenght wise and sleeve the dies. I sleeved my 1 1/2 " tube dies to bend 1" sch 40 pipe. ( Tree bars ) Worked great. |
