Here's my first dirt/sand toy. I'll get some better pics soon. It was used by the previous owner mainly for the sand dunes in Silver Lake, MI, but I will beef it up to handle the woods. It has disc brakes all around. 6 rib bus trans. It did have a 2276, but it now has a Ford SHO V6 mounted. Its not running though. It needs electrical work, and cooling system. And it needs some gauges, and switches up front, and some basic wiring and lighting work. It has a Michigan title. I'm in SW Ohio. I guess I gotta get it inspected before re-titling it in Ohio? I plan on making it street legal so I can drive it around town. It was previously street legal already when it was in Michigan. This is my first buggy, so feel free to give me any recommendations or ideas. ![]() and heres the new all aluminum trailer I bought to haul my toys in. I love this trailer. Very well made and easy to pull. http://www.rancealuminum.com/ ![]() ![]()

Nice looking 4 Seater. How many HP is the SHO motor rated for? |

I think the engine is rated around 220 HP. This buggy seems pretty light, as it was built for sand. I think it could use some more bracing, and maybe some rear air shocks to help with the heavy engine. Lonnie, a VW buggy guru from Hamilton OH, is going to help me with this buggy. Any manufactures make a clean gauge cluster and switch panel? Maybe something digital. |
