This being my first build, there are some things I would of done different in hindsight but I am very pleased with the finished product. The attention to detail in yours is awesome! Is it just the camera or is there a shitload of anti-ackerman on that front end?  edit - must be the camera, or just the tracking? |

It is the camera. Gopro's have the fisheye effect and even when you check the box for removing the fish eye effect in the Gopro studio, you still get it to some effect. I went with a center load rack to get rid of the bump steer as well as the anti ackerman. To get the tie rods to clear the frame and keep the problems out was a pain. If you look early on in the build you can see how I solved it by cutting the frame and adding a bend. |

I had a similar issue with ours, although I raised the outer steering pivots, dropped the frame tube a little then gussetted it to retain it's strength, still tight clearance-wise though. |

Evidentially when you run hard you tend to break things. I was not expecting to break a coil over in half. I was going through a rough section at about 50. I broke the shock in half and shoved the shaft through the side of the car. final damage tally...one wasted shock, three damaged panels and one bent rim.     I was able to slide the broken shaft back in and collapse the shock to get me home

Ouch..... You think u pay that much for shocks they would handle that, but to them it's ur fault cuz u didn't set them up right... |

Under the original configuration I lost about two inches of wheel travel and when I went back to the guy that helps me with the suspension work he said I was fine to run without them. And yes they are going back on. |

Never had any trouble without limit straps, but it does depend on mounting angle and how much preload you're running. |

I finally got a chance to get back to Dans to see what had happened. The best we can figure is before I got the rear shocks dialed in I had way too much rebound and basically stretched the retaining clip section to point of failure. When I say too much rebound, I was bouncing on the rough sections. The preload was perfect and was less than an inch. The problem was I should have not run the buggy hard until I had the valving done correctly. I know most of you think I am crazy but the shocks are going back on and with no limit straps. I will chalk this one as an expensive learning curve. |

What are you running rebound stack and spring-rate wise? The twin rears on ours are both on 185lb springs, and the rebound stack is roughly around a 90/100 stack if it was a standard Fox stack (it's not, but similar figures - stiffer low speed and softer high than the standard stack). Only using one pair of dampers for limiting the droop however. |

I run it for a bit and then take the shocks back in and tell my suspension guy what it is doing and he makes the adjustments for me. |

Finally got a chance to take the buggy in to get the top and side curtains made. I also had them make up a sun top for me that is not shown in the picture. Before you get to judgmental and call me a pansy for having these, it has snowed when we were in the mountains of Colorado and it gets over 110 when we are in Utah. Trust me, if you were me you would run them as well.
