Your two weeks are up. :)  . It's been a long time coming on this one I guess we can wait a little longer for the finished product. Chad

I actually have a legitimate excuse. I put the buggy on hold for a bit. We dropped my oldest son off at the airport this morning. He left for a two year church mission and I wanted to spend as much time with him as I could before he left. Its now back to buggy business as usual. Oh and by the way...it really really sucks when your kids leave.

Bryan, I cant think of a much better reason to delay than your son doing a mission trip. I bet you are a very proud PaPa!! Best of luck on the project, and I will be saying a prayer for your son.

I am extremely proud of him. In a society where most take, I have a son that is starting out his adulthood giving. He will be the one that stays up late with you to make sure your buggy will run in the morning. Thank you for the prayer for him as it means a lot.

After stripping the car down we had to take it down the road to our shop so we could load it. Transportation Flintstone style.

I took some extra pictures of the reassembly, and yes the buggy is finally done. It only took 5 years to build. I will post a few pictures of the finished buggy tomorrow.

I like the frame in easy colors. Meaning easy to match if, or when, you modify it. Black isn't my favorite color but when I changed engines the black was really easy to touch up.

I took your advice and I found a can of spray paint that is almost exactly identical to the frame. I had to grind a little on a front support to clearance the frame because the tie rod no longer cleared turning full left or full right on full droop. No sure what happened from when I built it to when I had it powder coated but the trailing arms dropped about 1/8th inch. Long story short...a little grinding and some touch up paint and it looks like it was that way from the beginning.

Thank you and it was nice to finally see your build posted. I have a good idea as to how many hours I have in to it and its some where in the crazy category, but its all worth it in the end.

Thank you for all the compliments. As far as being afraid to take it out of the garage, It only needed to look good for the first day of pictures. Day two it became what it was built for...off-roading.

What I find interesting!
Is that as different as your buggy is to mine, they have almost identical weight distribution and HP to weigh ratio :)

That is interesting. Purpose driven builds that, in my eyes, both came out very well. From reading your posts you are extremely happy with your outcome as am I. I would be curious to see the difference in how we run side by side as you are double the rpm's.
We just cant let Helmetguy chime in with hp to weight ratio! :D
