Since I have changed to Steel spindle fronts and now steel wide 5 fronts on drums and 3rib front tires to add weight. Now the front sticks to the ground alowing full use of right foot, woooooo hooooo!!!!
Also swapped out the Aluminum beam for an old spare steel one. Moved the battery up front. Found it was dead, lol, and replaced it.
That is the extent of my mods to date, will update as I get my butt in gear. Need to get the garage back in shape before s-10 geabox and brakes.

Gotta finish my power steering and brakes. Next will be some extra bracing and a roof. Then rewire the main electrical system. I will have at least some extra added b4 D&K. Just in case

Started in on the Pitman arm.
Round one, before I decided to extend it a few inches. Glad I only tacked it.

Here it is after making it longer with a slight raise.

And as I start adding extra strength. Image

Almost forgot the tree bar extensions. Man I wish I would have added these sooner. My last trip to haspin was the only trip I've made where I didn't catch a small tree that hung me up.

Well all I have left to do on the steering is set up the steering shaft, mount the pump, and get hoses made. Luckily the pump just bolts on, direct mount, no belts, wooooo hoooo!. Now if only my frame wasnt an inch in the way, damn it! Oh well I guees it's surgery time. Just trying to figure out the strongest way to fix it. I assume its an area that needs strength. Gotta couple ideas, Ill look at it closer after work tonight.

Well I got my Power steering setup installed last week. And I loved having it. Not sure it would help on a hillclimb contest Larry, but sure is nice on a hilly Trail ride. I'll get some pics posted later.

Your pitman arm is pretty but I broke one like that,,it is under a ton of stress,,might consider boxing it some,,maybe run an angle down it and run a bead down the angel for extra strength. good luck

Thats why I ran a piece of flat stock on top and bottom.Think I need more? I'm thinking of stealing a buddies idea and wraping rebar around it and welding it to it.

Sorry,,if I had paid better attention I would have seen that,,,after you welded it all up and ground it down smooth I could not tell,,,keep up the good work.

I know how to fix every p/s system perfectly........Take it off and sell it to someone with a 4x4 or CD.

Yes I know you want everyone to have one! But it was nice for bouncing accross roots, ruts, rocks and down trees without it jerking the wheels sideways. But then at around 1700 pounds mines more like a bobcat. Couple hundred pounds lighter then a bulldozer. And yes, I do read everything.
