Dave here. (dd). If it is your wife's buggy, drop a front wheel drive set up with the motor in the passenger seat with a shaft going back to a Ford independant rear end. It will lite that buggy up especially if it is fuel injected. It will be MUCH MUCH cheaper and MUCH MORE more powerful. That diff will triple the gear ratio. A weaker buggy will get her in more trouble than a powerful buggy.Listen to me!

Not everyone wants that. You like it, i like the vw trans axle setup. its simple, and if something breaks usually there is someone who has a part on their buggy to help. if you came to me asking me for a part, chances are i couldnt help you when it came to drive line, maybe a front end part.I'm not trying to bash what you have. Its cool, unique, and i like it. I think its wild. I give you props. But some of us dont want a setup like that

Looking good. I like the start of the front bumper. Having a tubing bender makes you find more projects to do.

I can't show this to my wife. She would want her own and then I'd have another project. I'm up to my eyeballs as it is now.
