I am trying to figure out what I should do for a fuel tank. I want to mount it low. Do you guys think it would be a good idea to mount two small tanks one on each side of the buggy in was thinking two three gallon tanks.

It should be O.K., but I would not suggest it. I think it will work as long as you keep both tanks tied together so both levels will be even. What do you think about running a fuel cell like mine and Dean's? They are very low profile and you can almost mount them right above the transmission and still have plenty of room above it for other things like a rack for your cooler or such things like it. Keep going on your build....it is looking better and better!

Close Wilbur. Look at your bug again. Ours are mounted between the x-brace and rear deck, the hoops are actually mounted to the x brace. I dont see the tabs on the predator buggy for it , though.

Cyle that seems to work out as a the best place to put the tank on one of those frames. Your frame was copied from ones like mine and Willie's, with quite a bit of beefing up, so you should have just enough room to squeeze a small spun al. tank in there. You'll have to put a 90 on the outlet because it will be right on the tranny.
If you do the 'dual tanks' mounted on the floor behind the seat, where you gonna put your battery and oil tank?

Larry

cyle, if you decide to use a small fuel cell like mine (5 gal.) look at my buggy build and u can get an idea as to how i mounted it. It is right above the transmission mounted low, but all the straps and mounts are removable for easy transmission removal...
