Hey Aboone,

Let me start by saying it was great meeting you this weekend and thanks again for the water.

That is one kick ass frame.   Looks familiar    Although, you have made some very cool mods to the roll bars...

Those seats are very cool as well...

Look forward to following your progress.

looks good i do see a few thing it is missing it needs a x-brace and know would bee a good time to think about the front and look a how some of the other buggys look i like how a beeline fram look up front and dont forget your top trans mont thay work and look better then a strap and corner gussets look bad ass.i know a place that sells all kinds of tabs, and mount and gusses stuff like that.

Thanks it was cool meeting you guys as well .Mickey mouse it was very cool seeing a 4 seater in the hill climb!!!!Its been about 3 years since I sold out so I got the fever real bad ... the only thing is money just dosent go very far any more!!
I am a fan of top trans mounts instead of straps it helps stop any flex in the torsion housing I have them made just not installed yet
I am still undecided on the front . I have been cking out some dessert cars for Ideas I am in need of some where to buy some gussets and tabs such as flooring and roof ,seat belts and what not

That is a kick ass center support... Does that get in the way of the back seat passengers? You are inspiring me to reinforce my frame some more..

Post subject:  Re: started on new buggy

I have my front seats setting back further than you do so I only have room for children to ride in the back of mine the support dosent seem to effect the rear passenger area at all . Not to mention you already have more room back there.

Post subject:  Re: started on new buggy

You have inspired me to reinforce my frame with some additional tubing. Here is what I am thinking..

1) Extra roll bar next to front seats.
2) Extra support for the back roll bar
3) If it is OK with you, I would like to copy your double bars at the top.

MM I think that would look killer. I like the braced up look not to mention the safety factor.
And by all means copy away... Lord knows thats what I did !!!

looks good just make shure u keep the front end tight to the beem and i dont like them seat mounts dont look safe may be run some pip from the bar in front of seat 2 the tortion with some tabs to mount the seats to just an idea and if u ever plan on runnin a longer front arm the front pice of pipe on each side will need to be moved back a bit so the ti rode will clare on the pass.side

i have a 2"x 1/4 inch plate under each seat that you cant see and 6 mounting bolts 2 in the bottom 2 in the sides bolted thru 1/4 "angle at the front and 2 in the back at the bar in the rear also bolted thru 1/4 " angle

Love those BTR rims!!!

Post subject:  Re: started on new buggy

Those rims are badass man, and the bracing is too.... I had super swampers on my buggy with that style tread and I found that they really suck in the woods. I couldn't hook up at all on hill or in the mud...

Post subject:  Re: started on new buggy

Thanks ... I have always run cut buck shots or v-treads but never super swampers .I hope when I get the cutting Iorn ahold of them and since they are 15" wide they will bite decent but if they dont they will make good spares
