Coming together. A few words of advise. If you need to drill thru the frame tubing you should weld sleeves in the hole so the bolts dont crush the tubing and become loose. Also this retains the strengh and stops water from entering the tube and rust it out.

good idea, i might give it a whirl when i pull it apart.... what do you use to sleeve it?

conduit is prob way to big....not sure what else to use

You can buy tubing in various sizes. Get tubing with an ID a little larger than the bolts you are using. Another approch that would be less work is to weld tabs on the tube to bolt your plates too. That way your not drilling thru the Tubing. AA-MFG.com is a good place to get tabs. They are prety cheap on pricing.
Heres a link right to the tabs:

Not Pipe!!! Tubing, there is a difference go to a steel supplier I'm sure if you look you can find one local if you can't find a local one contact your local High school metal fab teacher and see where they buy steel.
