That is a very nice build, excellent attention to detail. If I might ask what brand front tire are you running?

The front tires are Yokohama 30x7-15 mud and snow radials. Thanks for the comments, still a long way to go.

Ok, I am working on putting the engine in. I have the adapter plate, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate installed on the engine with a new pilot bearing and the clutch is properly alligned. New throw out bearing on the 6 rib. The problem is that when the bellhousing and adapter plate get about 3/4" apart, it gets real hard to push together. It almost feels like the clutch is actuating. I measured the distance, and it isn't. Is this just pressure from the input shaft behind the pilot bearing? HELP!!! I want to get this in tonight, but don't want to mess anything up.

Did you use an alignment tool for your clutch disc? I assume you did. On my suby engine when using an adapter plate it is not necessary to shorten the input shaft with a 6 rib but you are using a 3 rib,,,I don't know about the ford engine,,,but Crash does,,,on Blind Chicken Racing,,,he has a link on home page . He did that conversion,,,PM him. Maybe he has answers. Dont get too frustrated, it is probably something simple,,,good luck

Thanks for the input. I had to remove the centering ring from the pressure plate and it went on like butter. Engine is finally mounted. Thanks for the input. I have learned so much from this site. I have never even ridden in a buggy, but am building what I feel to be a decent one thanks to all the information and help from you guys!

Well, after months of doing wiring(Throwing a wedding in there slowed me down a bit)... building all harnesses from scratch, It started today!!! The Turbo Ford sounds mean. All that remains is small stuff like plumbing and misc stuff. I will try to get some updated pics up soon.

Well, it's been a long time since I posted, but here she is...
Had to change rear suspension: now running torsion bars with little preload, and 12" fox air shocks. Type 4 CV's, and limit straps all around.
I also had to make a body because my wife didn't like rocks coming at her off the front tires. Body is all stainless.
I just finished my high lift mount, and am in process of making a roof rack.
After two years of building, I have finally ridden in a buggy!
I spent last summer working the kinks out... cooling, bigger turbo, rebuiding motor, etc... It now has about 500 street miles on it, time for the mud!
Holy Sh*t this rocks!!!
