Looking for some advice... I want to add a sheet metal top to my dune buggy and I was wondering how people have been attaching the sheet metal. I could drill and tap the frame or I could use rivets. What are your thoughts? Thanks Dan |

definately dont drill holes in your frame.... weld in some tabs or i used those gussets that are 90 then radiused on the inside and drilled them... so some kind of tab will work the best and keep you from drilling into your rollcage which is always a no no lol |

Zues 1/4 turn fastners are the way to go. It allows you to quickly remove your panels for washing the mud out of the Buggy and to be able to get to things for service. |

MickeyMouse I just realized you were talking about the roof only. I also say weld tabs on the frame and bolt it on. I used 3/16" Aluminum with 6 - 3/8" bolts for strength in a roll over. I used the Zues fasteners on the side panels and hood section. |
