Well the absolute worst part of the build is done.....paint. Damn I hate that stuff. 18 cans of primer and 20 cans of black and here she is. I am going to do the arms, steering shaft, shifter linkage, and shocks in red which i will finish shooting tomorrow. I was pretty much sick when I left tonight from the fumes haha. Thank god for the woodburner these have of course been very cold days and nights here like 40 degrees. Starts going together tomorrow!

All in primer. I think you can see the fumes haha. O if you look in the lower left you might see my superdiff'd 6 rib haha. Thanks DTOffroad for the killer deal on that one.

Finished product.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Mike yes I am getting the ARC4000 kit. I am going up to jegs this weekend and pick that up and some rollbar mount guage pods. I'll let ya know how it all turns out. Someone said something about low budget builds, thats where this one started but it sure didn't end up there hahaha!

I got all the arms, shifter stuff, frontend, steering shaft, and shocks all painted red tonight. Turned out pretty nice. I also had to switch my guts out of the frontend I got into a different beam. Tim's manufacture sent me a cut and raised beam so it was super stiff. Parts are gonna start flying on it tomorrow I can't wait I am very excited now :)

Hehe got it covered hopefully. I think I am going to test run this weekend. It almost together gotta pick up a few more bolts and such and do the wiring. I am sure there will be lots of last minute stuff I have not planned for but thats to be expected. I hope to ride it Sunday.

Work has begun putting everything together. Arms are on, brakes are on and working, motor and tranny is in, steering is in, front beam on, shocks on, seats in, front skid plate on, roof, shifter in, lights on. The little tires are on the back until my adapters get here from Tim tomorrow. I want to repaint the tins on the motor they are green from the old car but its a PITA taking them off so maybe I will do that next week if I have some time.

Anyways heres some pics.

lots of hard work hah! its not the best but it'll do for me. it is my first fab job where I did all the work like the welding the making the fitting etc but I had a lot of helping people telling me what to do and how to do it correctly. Its not an easy tasking especially undertaking it in the amount of time I have had. I have worked LITERALLY every night on this buggy since the day I got the frame and frankly I am tired and ready to ride!

Its getting close to fire up time :!:

I am headed to Jegs in the morning to get the ARC kit and gauge mounts. Gotta stop at mudd mutts and pick up some stuff also clutch mount, seal spacers for my front hubs, and gotta get some more bolts and a few things from parts store. I hope to start it and move it tomorrow not ride but just get it ready to. I have to do a few more things Sunday like throttle cable battery crap etc. O yea everything green WILL be red I can't stand it anymore. My rear adpaters didn't arrive today from Southern Buggys :( They will be here Monday according to the tracking number I want my beadlocks on haha!

Front shot 90% completed.

Whooooora 95% done :)

I should get to fire it tomorrow and move it around. I got the wiring done today and a lot of other little misc bs. Got the new CNC pedals put in. I will tell ya want with the CNC pedals and CNC cutters and new pads my brakes are rock solid at 1/4 push I love it. WELL worth the money. Anyways its on the trailer back to mudd mutts one last time. I got to get my throttle setup done tomorrow and tranny straps. Should be it.

New CNC Pedals put in.

Image

ARC 4000 panel installed and the new Autometer oil pressure gauge. The ARC kit is KILLER I love it.

Image

I installed the MSD6AL and the ARC relay panel in the bottom of the toolbox. I also have my idiot light sticking out the back so I can just look back and see it on or off. It was easier that way so no wires running up front. I am not finished in here yet it will be tied up nicely and silicon on all the holes.

Image

Shot on the trailer. I WANT TO RIDE!

Me too. I was thinking about trying to find a even darker shade of black for mine.
