What about just using a 2wd Subaru with a mid engine setup? They do make 2wd? I also like the Renault idea that Phillip has mentioned but the problem is how to get it in the states. |

Only problem is do they make a 4.86 R&P non reversed? Without the 4.86 the whole idea is bust. |

Dan they are 16.5Lx16.1 .its what troy and lewis runs. With 2.5lbs of air they measure about 36 or 37 inches. They eat hp!!! |

1999 and above VW Passats have the same layout as a Soob trans. Some had V6's, V5's and 4 bangers. I bet the 4 cylinder trans has low gears. . SOMETING PLENTIFUL TO LOOK INTO. And besides, my transverse Passat trans (98 and down) is still going since day 1 in 2008. Run it just like it came out of the vehicle with the Passat motor and some small stones. I bet it would have the similar final gearing ratios as a 2nd gear trans cliff climber, OR an automatic would shift thru the gears lightening fast. They come with bus flanges. You can buy the whole wrecked car for what a type 1 MSD distributor system costs. And the car does not even have a distributor! |
