This is how it's starting-

In the process of swapping out to some better seats. Got the passenger side in, but might re-do it. Like to drop it down a little lower and recline it some. You have to be really short to fit with the angle things are set at right now.

This is my first customization. I thought the front aluminum beam was far too pretty and straight to be on anything I own. So, I bashed it on a rock somewhere on my first outing. The bend in the tube is severe enough to be causing a bind that is limiting suspension travel. Perfect. Just the excuse I needed to replace it.

lol

Actually that's a cat litter container, not sure if that's better or worse than a trash can....

Be nice to have an air cleaner solution that doesn't need to be covered, especially when I'm towing in the rain. Another thing to add to my long list of fixes/improvements.

I'm from Coleman Michigan. Which is near Midland. Which is North of Lansing.

Just getting started on burning up the credit card. Got a few hundred into the seats and a couple hundred more mainly into maintenance type items. Looking at front beam solutions and I can see that getting out of hand.... I'd like this thing to handle as good as the RZR I had, so I guess a healthy investment is in order.

Nice looking ride! Where do you plan on running? As far as the front end, what do you consider a "healthy investment"?

http://www.appletreeauto.com/CHROMOLY-T ... -AC414052/ $212.49
or
http://www.appletreeauto.com/FRONT-TRAI ... -AC413053/ $260.09

http://www.appletreeauto.com/COIL-OVER- ... 17-2544-0/ $247.34
http://www.appletreeauto.com/THRU-RODS- ... IDER-BEAM/ $39.04
http://www.appletreeauto.com/THRU-ROD-N ... AC401021N/ $22.09
plus new tie rods
and coil overs (go crazy)

Hey Bryan! Been drooling over your buggy for a while now. I noticed some pictures your Dad (?) posted a link to on the MSBA page some time ago. Fall color tour if I remember correctly?

I would imagine I'll end up running all over the upper half of Michigan- Houghton Lake, Rose City, Grayling, Baldwin, the U.P... wherever other people with buggies are willing to go. Right now my only partner is my neighbor. So, wherever he goes at this point. I'll be up for out of state trips after I have things sorted out mechanically too. Hoping to hit "Ride Royal Blue" around mid-August.

As far as healthy investment... haven't decided yet. At this point I'm still trying to gather information so I don't make a stupid expenditure. Having come from Jeeping I found that it gets really expensive working your way up through all the wrong part purchases to end up at the right one. Kind of like to end up at the right part the first time around if at all possible, although that's a real subjective thing I suppose. If people want to chime in now with some wisdom, I'm all ears. Kind of leaning towards coilovers, but I'm a little concerned about balance since I don't want to mess with the rear yet.

I'm using air shocks on the front. Cheap I'd for now. But gives a good ride. You will love Ride Royal Blue. It has a lot more tight riding than most places. (Which I like).

Guess if I'd read this first I would have seen the seats, lol. I've got a 900 razr and all my buggies ride better than it does. Put that seat in the drivers side next and you will see. :D :D  .Good looking buggy. Chad
