Brian Drew was actually the last one to race it with Kevin and his car at Koi in Cleves. I don't think it was actually the Gravelrama event (same place though).

Racebug That guys out of office in 9 months, a little birdie told me he is going to run for county commissioner this summer.
Well I missed the truck today so now I have to go pick it up in Rawlins (1.5hrs away) and they will only be there from 8 to 8:30. Or wait till next Friday. Next Friday won't work. I will be at the MInt 400. So I'm of early tomorrow.

The mint 400 is a blast last year was my first time. If you have never been to a desert race that one is the one I would suggest. Tech and contingency is is on fremont in old down town vegas. All the big vendors are there and all the cars are rolled right down the street so you get to see them all up close. We got to see and talk with all the big dogs, Flores, Bladwin, Letner, steele and on down the line. Pit crew challenge Friday night its a blast.
I have been helping some guys I met there last year. This year they are running a 11 car a 10 car and a class 1car.

Are you talking using the stock motor mount?

Adjustable way to go...makes sense when everything is subject to bending

thanks for the pic's and the links. Just got back from the mint 400. We had a great time helping Banning motorsports again. they took 1st in class 1100 and 6th in class 10 and lost the turbo in there class 1 car.
now back to reality I have a lot of work to do. I set up my Hobart 187 to weld aluminum yesterday, made some test welds and had at the radiator. I moved the bottom inlet location. The welds? well there is a learning curve I'm sure but I think they will hold, I am going to pressure test it tonight. I also picked up a new alternator yesterday and got it mounted.

Alternator mounting for anyone trying this I drill out the alt (only 2 of the 6 holes) to a 3/8. I drill the mounting holes in the engine to 5/16 and taped with a bottom tap to 3/8 and it worked great. Also recommend using never seize for the bolts since there steel and the block is aluminum.
