Well all I can say about this ALPHA FAB INDUSTRIES DREWS OFFROAD PERFORMANCE buggy is BAD ASS. The Alpha Fab ecotec ran awesome all day. Still in one piece, no oil leaks, and drove it in the trailer! We pulled out a 3rd place finish! I was pretty stoked for not racing for 4 yrs and new engine program, I thought we would have some bugs to work out, but it ran flawless. I pulled 4 7200 trucks in the first lap. Lap two I reeled in the rock buggies ( with there v8's). I snapped off the bolts holding the torque generator and lost power steering. A couple of hose clamps on the generator and back out with NO power steering fought that for the last 4 laps somewhere in there I broke a rear caliper and lost all rear brakes. No steering brake and fought the steering to the end. The course was fast and brutal. I have a few things to fix but we will get'em next time. All in all it was a great race weekend, met some new people and got on the podium! Special thanks to Shaun from Alpha fab and Brian from Drews Offroad. Were back racing!!!!!!!!
Matt this is awesome!! Great to hear the AFI 2.4 was reeling in the big boys. I tell folks the calibrations we use are LEAPS and BOUNDS above the competition. You're proving it! Sorry I missed your call, been on a damn airplane all day [tuning in Phoenix]!
