Couldn't find a gauge pod to fit four gauges or maybe the 9" ones do, I don't know. So I decided to make a template that is 10" to fit four, I then made sa switch box template to fit five flip up switches to go overhead. I then seen something like my drawing and am going to go with that instead of trying to make all those bends.

What starter are you using, swap looks good, keep up the progress, I'm about to start on a swap from a 1835 to a 2.2 ecotech, I can't wait

My thoughts as well... but don't use my car as a gauge because it was overkill. We run in the desert when it can get to 115 degrees so I needed a little more cooling. The fans are supposed to cool up until about 15 mph when forced air is supposed to take over. If you are doing a lot of off and on running you may never have an issue but if you go on longer trips you may tend to over heat. Rule of thumb on cooling, go with the largest radiator you can fit into your designated area.

Thanks for the input guys,
Cush I am using a 96-03 manual transmission TDI starter with an adapter. High torque without going with a $$$ hi torque$$ starter.

I got the 2.4, the radiator is a honda civic 3 row racing radiator, it's 3 inches thick,14" wide and 16" tall, I do have a fan to put on, most of my riding is trail, rarely leave 2nd gear. I have seen these used before in other build researching. I will keep an eye on the temp!!! I have room if I need to go bigger.

I have been busting my arse getting this far. I can not believe this thing started, every gauge worked, all electrical worked, well I set up my fuel pump backwards but that was an easy fix. I will do a more detailed video as I have a few questions for Sean.

Gotta love that first start. I though that I was almost done....Looking back I would say that was about the halfway point on my build :0

That's awesome I have to do some editing to my video and get it posted. Nothing like working your butt off and then start and everything works.

That was pretty funny. Nice AFI shirt and how much was the garden hose by pass, I didn't see it on the AFI site?

You like that garden hose.... Special purchase prototype, Sean asked that I keep it quite but now the cats out the bag. I also found out through other forums that my radiator hoses were backwards, I fixed that.
Esentually the thermostat or flywheel side goes to the bottom of the rad and alternator side hose goes to the top. Just a tidbit of info.

All right PEEPS,
Here is my first problem, The fuel psi when the engine is just started is around 60-80 psi, it does come down to what you see in the video but cycles.
I hear the pump cycle with the rise and fall of the fuel psi, the pump seems to stay running but it acts like its kicking in and out of gear ( sorry no other analogy).
After 5-10 minutes the sweep of the fuel PSI GAUGE gets lower and lower till the engine just stops, and at that point it takes 5 min or so for the fuel pump to turn back on..

I thought at first it was the fuel filter, till I changed that to a higher flow, I have adjusted the regulator in and out to no affect.
The pump is an EBAY E-2000.

Thoughts?

thanks for your input...
