The shop got a little more full last night. My dad picked up a buggy from the classifieds on the forum. Pretty nice chassis for the price. Needs some TLC but we have some leftover parts to get it going. May start an upgrade thread for it soon. Have some 2x3's that came with it but we may make a set of 4x5's since we have a couple set of axles for that size. Here are some pics as it came off the trailer and into the shop.

Your going to need a bigger shop. That's why I'm moving mine into 4 times the size I have now.

Got the Motor mounts, power steering pump bracket and radiator all made and mounted. I think I'm going to add a lower strap mount to the radiator this time. I only had the side mounts before. It just looked like something that would crack in time.

Motor mounts. They are all cleaned up and welded completely now. This was there rough state.

No work this weekend. Wife and I went to Vegas for a vacation. Not a bad view from our room at the Bellagio. People watching out here is priceless.

This swap is about wrapped up. Waiting on the clutch and pressure plate to show up so I can get the engine installed for good. All the coolant lines are ran, fuel lines, power steering pump, resevoir and lines, air cleaner and engine mounts are done.

Power steering pump is a Sweet. I made the mount so it still used the stock idler/tensioner and stock belt.

Donaldson air cleaner all mounted up. Need to clean them up and paint everything. This was a pain making all the mounts. I couldn't find straps and mounts big enough for this filter so I made these.

Looking good man, Just wait until you light the Vtech up running down the road you may just have to check your shorts.

I like the power steering bracket motor mount combo. that is the next addition to my wagon.

Started building the exhaust. All tacked up but rough still. I think this will work out but I'm concerned about how loud it will be. Total pain to get it somewhat centered up. I may make an oval megaphone tip for it instead of the 90 turn out.

Its going to be loud, I think you have a muffler there? When the throttle blade is WAO it is very loud indeed.

Looks really nice man

Thanks guys. It's all welded up and I added a tab to the top of the muffler to help support it and keep it from vibrating itself apart. Hopefully it works well. Once the clutch and pressure plate shows up it should be running pretty quickly. Fabrication is basically done and all I need to do is wire a few things and get it installed permanently.

I didn't mention it but if you cleaned your intake up inside don't connect your PCV valve to the intake, connect it to your breather box instead. just remove the ball in the PCV valve

I sandblasted the intake inside and out. Won't connecting it to the air box gum up the intake tube and throttle body?

Not your air box, tie it in to a crank case breather box with the one from the passenger side valve cover. The oil vapor makes a mess of the intake.

Now I see what you're saying. I have to agree it makes a bit of a mess. When I pulled the valve covers the passenger side was spotless, looked like new parts, the drivers side was copper color and more gummy. It wasn't bad at all but compared to the passenger side it was a big difference. The intake wasn't too dirty for 95K miles but the breather makes sense. I have a small filter on the passenger side and the drivers side is hooked to the intake. I may change this down the road.

Awesome project. I should have followed it bit earlier but still nice work.
