the engine was a 1915 cc till i was stupid left it out in the rain. so now its time to build a 2275 cc. i have dual 40 idf's and 044 heads. I'm going with a vz15 cam and probably 9:1 compression. i will go with bigger carbs in the future, its not in the budget right now and eventually v treads on bead locks. Tranny is a 3 rib 5.42 R&P. This will be my fist air cooled build so any help will be appreciated. Also can anybody tell me what c
kind of frame i have.

My guess on the frame is Invader. I think they came from Bugpack. Probably from the early 90's. That's my best guess.

sorry to disagree but bugpack made the fugitive frames which is slightly different than invader frames which i belive were made by JSC aka johnys speed & chrome, also the frame in the pic is neither fugitive nor invader. first thing comes to my mind is a hi-jumper chassis which i think is made by prowlers speed & custom

After looking up some pics I think you nailed it with Hi Jumper. Looks just like it.

Yea that's what I was thinking, wasn't there also a sand sprint or sprite or something like that and it had a back end designed something like that. Chad

Sand Sprite from Google search:
For some reason the size of the pic cuts the back off. It's rounded just like the red one pictured above.

Hi Jumper from Google search:

Don't look much different from each other if the description is accurate.

sand sprite had a couple of different versions (long travel, mid travel, etc), i think 1version had an a-arm style front end but if im not mistaken they were a mid engine chassis and the hi-jumper was real similar but only came with a beam and torsion style suspension and was a rear engine chassis

ive got an old prowlers catalog around here somewhere, i will see if i can dig it up and let you know for sure

You know what is great about less seats? Motors don't make noises like ,"I wanna go home, it's cold, I'm hungry , don't go up that hill, I lost my lighter, can you go back, I need a cigarette, slow down, I gotta pee,you never bring any tissue, you've had too much beer."Replace passaenger with an extra 30 pack incase things really get serious AND tighten the 5 point harness around it because you want to take care of those that you love.Heck! UNBOLT SEAT AND BOLT DOWN A COOLER!Coolers ride with you as a friend and encourage you to GO, CLIMB and STAY OUT LATE.Maybe that's why they call them a "COOLER".By the way, NICE RAIL!
