If it's easier to email them to someone I am willing to post them for you. fortydegnorth@yahoo.com is my email. I use photobucket.com and then just copy and paste the "img" file on the picture from that site.

Anyway, I am new to posting.the can actually has 2-3 more inches of gap. And the diff looks tall and short.I'll get it right tomorrow.

Now you're getting it. Let's see some more. The idea of using a differential is great to me. If you have some pictures a little further back to show engine placement and how it all ties together that would be awesome.

the case on that 8.8"aluminum diff is from a 1994 lincoln mark 8 with a 4.7 motor and the r&p is a 307:1.The iron diffs are 327:1.But both have MASSIVE teeth that make a 483 look like a toy.The bus stock shaft has never broke but I welded the 1st diff in my 1st trans and it came apart.Let someone good at it weld for you. When everything is right they tell me it sounds like an indy car going thru the woods. I have a stretched timing chain right now,but will have it going in a few weeks. It has a 113" wheel base x 80"wide. Someday I may weld the lincoln diff but I am more of a picnicer these days.

It's a 2800 175hp but has great rpm and has plenty of muscle (torque).a few years back VW replaced the vr6 with a 2.5 vr5 170hp.Some are turbo and I don't know there output. Those are TSL 40's. (39.5")uncut.Those bigo balloon tires and long trailing arms roll over lumps and bumps with a very soft ride.

Well, there is the majic.Front wheel drive 5 speed with a welded diff.A stock bus c/v shaft to the Lincoln Mark 8 diff. The stock shifter is 2 cables 5' long. Just bolt the shifter anywhere onto the floor.I don't see how this bus cv has never broke.

Did you just weld flanges onto the input shaft on the diff, the output of the VW transmission and the outputs on the Lincoln to make bus cv's bolt up? By the time you go through the gear ratio of the transmission and the irs differential what does the final drive come out to? Seems like it would be really low but I guess really tall tires would help that a lot.

Thanks. get an old outter bus cv and thread the factory holes for 3/8 coarse. Then center it with your hands and weld it with a 7018 rod (steel).Drill the bus cv joint to 3/8 also.On the output shafts lathe the stubs to fit an old porshe 930.and basically do the same set up.Get a diff with the anti skid brake ring and make a flange out of aluminium angle to keep the output shafts from walking out.Oh and the diff has to go upside down to make it pull fwd.
