Can someone help me and tell me how thick and what diameter pipe can I use to build new tree bars..I got some pipe that is 1/8th thick and 1-3/4 round it seems stout but not sure....

The question you are asking can be answered many ways. I would try to match the existing tubing used in the frame and go with that or a slightly thinner wall thickness. If the bars are to stout they will fold up your frame. I have made them out of 1" - .095 wall ERW tubing. I have also used 1 1/2" - 120 wall ERW. So find some tubing and start burning some rod.

Strengthen them by adding a 1/4" thick 1X1 angle iron along the outside length of the tree bar.

I have always used 1.5" buggy tubing with another tube inside of it, then add several supports to the frame. If built them with single wall tubing, I would be replacing them every season. I have yet to bend my frame from tree bar use. I guess it depends on how you ride and where you ride.

Most of the cars I have seen up here have a tube reinforcement about every 12" to 16". If you plan to build them like that you can use 1 1/2 0.95 thick then add the 1x1 angle and it should be close to bullet proof. Some one should be able to post a photo.

Get to it man, the best way to learn is by doing. If you have not welded with the machine before do so practice welds. Also the machine will have a chart under the door that gives guid lines for setting wire speed and heat range. I learned that from a friend after trial and error method.
