Holy he!! people...... he is in HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!
How may of you in High School could afford a $3000-5000 buggy?

and he has mentioned that if he wants to race the buggy that he is limited to a 1600cc engine....

Hunter... if you like it as much as you say.... GO and GET IT... Learn everything from that buggy you can and beat the snot out of it... yea you will break things as you go but the best part of it you will LEARN how to fix it yourself... I bought my first roller for $500 with a swing axle out of a bug... and i still have it. I loved the first day that i started that buggy up. I am slowly working on building a 4 seater for my family.... so you were asking if it was a good deal... From the pictures I saw I wish mine would have looked like that when i bought it. Everyone has been saying that you should go with a larger bla bla bla.... I say start out small and work your way up... save money where you can... learn everything you can while you build it. you will appreciate it more... believe me. yes you may spend more money in the long run building it up but if you are on a tight budget you can only do so much.

Good Luck on your build and take lots of pictures... Actually I would like to see the build thread.
Merry Christmas too!!

Well change of plans... lol He is coming tom around 1-2 picking me up, going back to his house, throwing the buggy on the trailer, taking it to my house. By then it should be past 3pm, when my mom gets home with his money. And then he leaves and i have a buggy in my garage. :)

Just looking back in here, hard to believe 5 months has gone by. If i could do this again you bet your a** i would. I'm really glad i bought a bare frame, sure it has come with troubles but i can make it how i want it! Also i don't have to have a lump sum of 3000-5000 to start out, i can buy stuff here and there. This message is to every new person out there. DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY A BARE FRAME AND BUILDING YOUR OWN. It does cost more cash but you will love every step of the way. I didn't know very much about buggies when i first started and there is still plenty to learn but im glad i did it the way i did.
