I've never run digital but i would have to assume that it's an electric type gauge, Which means you "just" run wires. If you buy new they'll come with the gauge, sending unit & mounting hardware.. You'll need to buy wire and it's important to use the correct gauge wire if you want accurate readings, the directions will have all the info you need.

All you need is an autometer oil pressure guage (digital) 0-100psi and use a dummy light (blue) for your charge status, if alternator/generator does not work the light will not go off when running.

The gauges are electric so you use a sending unit in the block for what ever application your using then run wires from that sending unit up to the gauges. Thats it. So you will have a water temp sending unit somewhere in you coolant flow, an oil pressure some where in your block. The guages should come with everything you need except the wire to go from sending unit to gauges.
