Thanks guys, appreciated. If it looks tough its because of reading and paying attention to you guys on this forum.
Next step is to get rid of the swing axle rear, I've designed a rear end using parts from a porsche 914. It'll be similar in geometry as used on the RZR. The transmission conversion is going well, the 012 gearbox has a strong input shaft (0.95"), but luckily the nose is 15mm diameter just like a type 1 transmission so it'll slide straight into my existing gland nut without modification. I've also sourced a 200mm clutch plate with the same splines as the 012 gearbox which is otherwise the same dimensions as my kennedy. Also the release bearing on the 012 mates perfectly with the Kennedy.
All I need to do is make the adaptor plate, buy the new clutch plate and I'm done! The 012 output flanges are the same as 930 CV's too. The only downside being that the output flanges are offset to one side so I'll have unequal length driveshafts...

This is how it looks now, the 31 x 15.5's have been sold and replaced with 33 x 12.50 Kuhmo KL71's

I figured my expensive carbs were a bit vulnerable, so decided to make some covers for them:

They cover the filter AND the carb..

But clear the bellcrank throttle linkage, they measure 6" x 9" and are 8" deep..

I then added a breather line using AN-8 line..

Haven't yet mounted the fan belt cover, need to work out a strong way of doing it..

I also replaced my rubber oil filter lines with some AN-8 fittings I have had kicking around since my Mustang racing days..

It now also sports a set of Porsche 914 rear discs..

I used stock rear drums machined down to create the hubs for the 914 discs:

And used a pair of late model Golf GTI rear calipers, not too impressed with these as my only stopping power, need to swap in some 'front' calipers that are a bit tougher..

Hooked up well, I'd not been able to find anything it couldn't get up/over (except the tree!).

I had to wait while a couple of 4x4's winched themselves out of a gully, then I just drove straight out past them on half gas, the 4x4 guys were kindly winding thier winches out ready to pull me out as I drove past them..

The mid engine keeps the front wheels down nicely too..

The Tri Mil exhaust fried another starter solenoid and it clearly needs stronger track rods, but other than that I'm very happy. Next step is the 'non swing axle' rear suspension so I can get some more ground clearance.

Missed the mag... do you have a copy or pdf of the pages somewhere so I can have a read?

Am off to get friendly with the plasma cutter on the Lightweight tomorrow :mrgreen:

Nice work, I didn't think that a high jumper frame could look that good. What is a buggy like to get through MOT on your side of the pond. I actually like the right hand drive.
